First high speed sequence photographs ever taken. Realized later that when presented in succession gave persistance of vision which is the illusion of motion from stills. Eadweard Muybridge did this to win a bet of wether all four of a horse’s legs come off of the ground at the same time. He won that bet and invented motion picture photography.
